Places to learn, grow and enjoy fellowship
We encourage interaction throughout the week, not just on Sundays. Whether it’s a bible study, a youth club or a place to get to know people like you, we’ve got a good selection.

Family meet-ups throughout the week
The groups we run for families are loved by members of our local community as well as our church. If you look after young kids, we'd love you to come and join us.

We love families! In fact, our work with families with small children makes up a really huge part of how we serve our local community.

Through Buzzy Bees alone we’re in regular contact with an amazing 180 families each week from a wide range of backgrounds. They love having somewhere relaxed and easy to take the kids, and we love meeting them. Everyone wins.

So whether you’re a mum or a dad, a grandparent, an auntie or an uncle, a foster carer, a nannie, a child minder or anything in between, and you need somewhere to take the little one(s) come and be part of our friendly, welcoming community. Annie and her team of amazing helpers would love to meet you.

Buzzy Bees

A lively group for 0–5 year olds, offering a large variety of toys and play equipment, craft activities, story-time and singing, and a large selection of healthy snacks and drinks (and teas and coffees for the grown ups – all included in the bargain price!). Songs and a story are a popular way to end the morning sessions.

Buzzy Bees meets in the main hall (entrance to the rear of the building).

  • Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:15 – 11am
  • Tuesdays and Fridays from 1.15 – 2.45pm.

One adult and their children ages 0–5 is £2. Any additional adults or secondary school children are an extra £1 each.

Buzz Club

A Saturday morning group for pre-school-aged children that runs alongside Firecrackers (primary-aged children).

Following a similar pattern to Buzzy Bees, Buzz Club is always popular and offers a brilliant range of toys and activities for the children.

Buzz Club meets in the main hall (entrance to the rear of the building).

  • Saturdays from 10am – 12noon.

One adult and their children ages 0–10 is £2. Any additional adults or secondary school children are an extra £1 each.

Messy Church

Like church, but messier!

If your idea of church is trying to get your children to sit still in a pew and listen to a grown up talking about God, it might feel like a bit of a stretch for you and your family!

Why not try Messy Church? Come and get involved with a large group of people in the same mindset: enjoy a warm welcome, have fun exploring a part of the bible through creative crafts and games, hear a story and then sit down for a meal together.

Messy Church is usually run on the first Saturday of the month and caters for people of any stage of faith journey, and gives an opportunity to find out, sometimes for the first time, how amazing Jesus is and how much he cares for them. We have a wonderful team of volunteers on hand to make it a really fun, safe and welcoming environment for you and your family, and would love you to come along and join in.

Originally started in 2004 in a church near Portsmouth, there are now thousands of Messy Churches registered around the UK and around the world. Find out more about the Messy Church organisation on their website.

Be sure to follow Mutley Families on social media to check the details of Messy Church as these can sometimes change.

Messy Church is part of The Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF), a Registered Charity.
